Getting ready for winter

As summer draws to a close it's time to start getting ready for winter. An important thing to do is to check your electric heaters. Dust may have accumulated in the heater vents. Cleaning the dust out can reduce the chance of electrical shorts or overheating the element, which can shorten the life of the heater. Also check fan speed controls and thermostat controls for correct operation. If you have any safety concerns or if there are heaters that aren't working right contact a licensed electrician before you get left in the cold.
